Until 2018 AJ&Smart was a typical consultancy, with the typical consulting problem: Getting paid client work was either a Feast or Famine.

We either had nothing to do, or way too much to do and there was no way to predict when these phases would happen.

When anyone ever asked me how AJ&Smart was going, I’d say “It’s fine, but I have no idea if it’ll still be around next year…”. It was kind of a joke, but also kind of not.

Then I met someone (and paid them a lot of money) who showed me a different way to do things.

Different to how every other consultancy I knew was doing things.

It was so different that it was a complete paradigm shift for me and I was reluctant to believe it would work for us….but it ended up doubling our revenue that same year, and we’ve never gone back to the “old way” of doing things.
